We are a non-profit group which works within the South of England, primarily the counties of Kent, Surrey and Sussex to promote and guard the welfare of the Arabian horse. We work closely with the Arab Horse Society (UK) to promote the Purebred Arabian, Anglo Arab and Partbred Arabian not only as a show horse, but as a versitile riding horse capable of competing across the spectrum of disciplines at all levels with riders of all ages and abilities.

We welcome new members to our group  with an interest in the Arabian horse whether owners or non-owning enthusiasts, all are welcome. We organised two shows each year,  The Spring Show at Merrist Wood Campus and the Summer ECAHO C Show held at The South of England Showground dates for both shows are now confirmed.

The group shows are all affiliated to the AHS. The Spring Show on Saturday 28th of April at Merrist Wood hosts a Horse of The Year Show Qualifier,  British Arabian Championships, Midland Group Young Riders Championships and The Crabbet Organisation.

The Summer ECAHO C Show on Saturday 14th July at The South of England Showground includes British Arabian Championships, Crabbett and Midland Young Rider  Championship and Equifest qualifiers.

We organise social events and a range of ridden and inhand clinics for our members.

"NEW DATES" added for our Clinics in 2018 are available under NEWS & EVENTS at a new venue Chelwood Gate Equestrian

We have very successful dressage teams who’s results at the AHS Championship Show at Malvern have been second to none for many years.

The group actively provides donations and support each year to various charities and events. In 2017  these will be:
SEAHG Welfare Fund, The Brook Hospital, The Kent Air Ambulance, The British Arabian Championships and the SEAHG Dressage Teams

We are happy to try to help in welfare cases and where additional support is needed and we have put a SEAHG Welfare Fund in place this year which can be used to provide assistance at the descretion of the committee. All contacts will be treated with complete privacy. Members can contact any committee member who will endeavor to help. Contact telephone numbers and email address for all the SEAHG committee members can be found on the Committee page of our website.
