SEAHG Spring Show -
24 April 2010
The entries were slow coming in for the SEAHG Spring Show and the deadline was extended for a further week to guarantee the show going ahead what was the reason for the slow start? Maybe the delayed warmer weather and the economic climate played a role but thankfully enough late entries came in to make a respectable turnout. All that late winter weather was forgotten on the day as we had a beautiful sunny spring day shining on Saturday 24th April 2010 at Ardingly for the SEAHG Spring Show.
Ring one started the day with Anglo & Part bred in-hand classes judged Mrs S Woodhouse with the yearlings first in the ring.
A good start for the new SEAHG member Ms C Pepe and her gelding Bonnie St George (Sarfraz x Wacella) who was bred by Mrs J Kotecha at Heath Stud in Surrey.
The Anglo & Part bred 2 years olds were in the ring next with Brizemead Silouette out of Stanley Grange Royal Appointment owned by Ms A Bell taking home first place and Authentic (The Alchemist x Floure De Luce) owned by Mandy Burr was called in second.
With a change of ownership since our last years summer show at Hickstead and still in winning form is the 3 year old part bred arab NW Ganton MacCallum (African Gold Rush x Ganton Romola VII ) owned by Ms J Gallois and bred by Mrs N Whittington- Davis who also went on to claim the Anglo & Part Bred In-Hand Championship taking home the Westfalia Silverdale Cup which has been kindly presented by Mrs Wendy Carr.
